Solutions. Right in front of us.

So many leaders are slightly frustrated with team performance, but fail to see and leverage what is right in front of them.

1-1 discussions and team meetings are golden opportunities to listen, drive clarity and renew focus on results. But...we take them for granted. We start strong...but over time, our performance as a facilitator and performance coach tends to diminish. We no longer bring our A-game. And the results reflect that.

The good news is, you likely already have a sense of what you need to do:

1 - Prepare for team meetings the way you prepare for important customer engagements. Be on time! Be present. Ask great questions that get people thinking and talking.

2 - Facilitate like a champ. Bring good energy, create the conditions for meaningful, focused dialogue. Everyone leaves on a mission.

3 - Think about team members and stakeholders with whom you need to level-set. What do you need to do to prepare for a clarifying, meaningful and impactful discussion? Next-level success lies in the conversations you are avoiding

These three actions, practiced consistently over time, will make a MASSIVE difference in team performance.

Dismiss the fantasy of a quick fix. Get better at leading what is right in front of you.  :-)
